menstrual cycle : you cannot connect to goddess energy without recognizing & surrendering to the inevitability of your period. i always laugh at the part of my goddess affirmations when it says “i surrender to the flow” lmao because it’s just so corny to me. but when you think about how potent menstrual energy is, it starts to make sense. tell a man you’re on your period and he goes thru a myriad of emotions ranging from disgust, curiosity, to an even more intense arousal than normal (because now he can’t have you, in most cases at least). i want to start reshaping how i look at my period, how i treat myself on my period, how i choose to act and dress and move. reject the idea of PMS, reject the idea that i become more irritable or bitchy. i’m literally shedding my skin, it’s a chance for rebirth, it’s a chance to become lighter (the light feeling after a really good cry), a time to purge (push bad skin to the surface). reframe the entire phase in your mind.
intuition : lilith has been labeled “rebellious” but she truly just questions the status quo, and searches for understanding beyond what the powers that be tell her to be gospel. she listens to her own inner voice. i think that’s why she’s become so demonized by men, in the same way that femininity became demonized by so many cultures throughout history. she doesn’t run from darkness, she befriends it in order to better understand it & therefore better understand herself. she trusts her gut, and listens to that no matter what the rules are. always trust your feelings. if your feelings tell you to do something, sit for a moment and decide what the thought of that action conjures up. if it’s anxiety, then don’t proceed. if it’s calm and collected energy, do it.
